The best way to find out more about Queen Mary’s is to come and visit. We would be delighted to welcome you here to talk with the Headmistress about your plans for your child’s future education and to have a guided tour of the buildings, grounds and facilities. Your daughter will also be very welcome to spend some time at the school. This will allow her to be given as comprehensive a picture as possible of the workings of the school.
Queen Mary’s is a non-selective school; we offer places to all children to whom we believe we can provide a relevant and suitable education, appropriate to their needs. There are no entrance exams, unless applying for a scholarship, however, assessment tests may be carried out and reports from previous schools requested.
Entry to the school can be into any year providing there is a space.
Parents wishing to enter their child for Queen Mary’s should return the registration form, enclosing a cheque for £75 (£25 nursery), made payable to Queen Mary’s School, to cover the registration fee. Both parents must sign the registration form. The registration fee is non-refundable.
Registration does not guarantee a place at the school for the pupil.
The school will normally set out the offer of a place at the school in writing to the parents on receipt of the registration form. The offer will be accompanied by the full Terms and Conditions and a prescribed Acceptance Form which is required to be signed by the parents returned to the school. A deposit of £500, which is held until the pupil leaves the school, will also be required (for Reception to Y11). The request for this will be sent with the offer of a place.
