Choral Workshop is music to our ears!
In celebrating 35 years of the Queen Mary’s Chapel Choir, the school has put on a choral workshop to teach the girls about different kinds of group singing. In a very exciting day, each of the 5 choirs had separate choral workshops with Kevin Fox, a Swingle Singer – how cool is that?! The day was a huge success with Kevin pitching activities at just the right level for each group, including rhythmic games (with actions), improvising and beat boxing as well as helping each group with its current repertoire. He was very impressed by what he heard from everybody and paid Chapel Choir a huge compliment after hearing Can’t help lovin’ that man by saying he’d never heard an English choir swing like that without tuition! Praise indeed.
