WOLF Wars Success
What a wonderful weekend at Queen Mary’s officially opening our new W.O.L.F Run. This Water, Obstacle, Land and Forest run is the first of its kind in a school, and provides the girls with vital leadership and team-building skills. The school was delighted to welcome Paul Rafferty, a local Mountain bike and Climbing instructor, who led the first ever descent of Low Gully in Borneo, and has scaled Mount Everest and Mont Blanc, to open the course. The girls arrived to paint their faces and dress in their house t-shirts before a motivational speech to get them in the mood for the race. Parents and siblings supported the house teams both on the sidelines and over the obstacles, many with painted faces and dirty knees by the end! The winning team were Fountains whose full team completed the 2.3km course in just over 14 minutes, and were awarded, for the very first time, the Wolf Trophy!
Thank you to all of the parents who came to support us on this beautifully sunny day, both in taking part and on the sidelines. A wonderful afternoon was had by all.
