Support for Learning
Queen Mary’s is a caring, family school and the Support for Learning Department sees itself as the hub of that environment. Any girl can visit the support team at any time during her school life at Queen Mary's for additional help in any area she requires it. The most common reasons for girls seeking our help are dyslexia, dyspraxia and Asperger’s syndrome. These additional lessons will continue as long as they are required and they are not charged as an extra. We arrange specific lesson times in consultation with subject teachers to ensure maximum benefit to the girls. We can arrange testing by a qualified Educational Psychologist for additional access arrangements such as extra time during GCSEs as necessary. We also supply readers or other support for examinations when girls qualify for this additional help.
