Welcome to our all-girls setting – designed to give your daughter her best day, every day.
Our Admissions Team is here to help answer all your questions and support you through the process for the best possible start.
We warmly invite you to visit, either at an Open Event or for a personal tour. During your visit, our pupils will show you around the school providing a genuine insight into life at Queen Mary’s and the advantages of an all-girls’ education. You will also meet with our Head to talk about your daughter’s interests and her academic and personal development.
Please allow around 1 hour 30 minutes for a personal visit. We look forward to getting to know more about you so we can help you discover our all-girls advantage for your daughter.

What to Expect When Visiting Queen Mary’s
| Whether you come to an Open Day event or attend a private tour, you will receive a similar experience involving a pupil-led tour and an opportunity to speak with teachers, heads of departments, and the headmistress. Our friendly admissions team are also on hand to personalise your tour for your child’s particular interests and to answer any questions. |
How to Apply to Queen Mary’s
We are a proudly non-selective school, and our application process is simple. Our friendly admissions team is always on hand to offer dedicated support and to ensure a smooth transition into our vibrant all-girls community.
Book an Open Day or a Personalised Tour
Start your application journey with a friendly, informal visit, where you can tour the campus and hear from our current students. You can also speak with the Headmistress, teachers, coaches, practitioners, and learning assistants. We would be more than happy to answer all budding questions.
Book an Experience Day or Boarding Stay
Your child can experience a day at Queen Mary’s through an Experience Day. She will join lessons and activities with her prospective class, make new friends, and get a real sense of life here. She’ll be paired with a friendly ‘good neighbour’ who shares her interests, helping help her feel at ease. During the day, an age-appropriate assessment can be carried out so we understand how best to support her.
For those exploring boarding, we also offer a sleepover experience, providing a true taste of boarding life and supporting a smooth, confident transition.
Register with Queen Mary’s
Apply for a place in any year group by completing a Registration Form and submitting the non-refundable registration fee of £120 (£180 for non-UK residents).
Joining Queen Mary’s
Our Head meets with every family to review registrations personally. As a non-selective school, girls usually do not sit an entrance exam. We will contact your daughter’s current school for her latest school report and a reference.
Following your visit, you will receive a formal Offer Letter. Please sign and return this to our friendly admissions team to confirm your daughter’s place.
Admissions Timings
We recommend applying at least two terms in advance of your daughter joining the school, to allow us to fully support her transition and to ensure we have the space to accept your child. However, we understand that circumstances vary and are always happy to offer flexibility where needed. Please contact our friendly admissions team for support.
