Welcome to Queen Mary’s Admissions
Choosing the right school is an extremely important decision and, like our education, the admissions process is bespoke to you.
Having been trusted to provide exceptional education for over 90 years, we invite you to explore all the opportunities on offer at Queen Mary’s. The best way to start this process is by visiting the school. Our private education Admissions Team would be delighted to hear from you if you are considering Queen Mary’s and we can arrange a suitable date or you may wish to join one of our Open Mornings.
COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update and Virtual Open Mornings
Due to the current situation regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus), Queen Mary’s Admissions has gone digital. Please click here for further information. Alternatively, if you would prefer, we would be happy to pre-register you for an Open Morning or individual visit during Autumn Term 2020.

The Application Process
Here is an example of the Admissions Process: The main point of entry into Queen Mary’s is in September, although we do accept applications for entry throughout the year, subject to availability.
Open Mornings and Individual Visits
We offer a number of Open Mornings or we can arrange an individual visit at a date and time to suit you.
Following an Open Morning or individual visit, the process of registration will ensure that your daughter’s name is added to our entrance list, guaranteeing that you will receive all correspondence and be invited to key events.
Taster Days and Overnight Sleepovers
Taster days and overnight sleepovers allow you to meet friends in your potential new class and experience lessons, extra curricular activities and more to ensure a smooth transition into the school.
During the admissions process an age-appropriate assessment is undertaken to enable staff to understand you and what we can offer you at Queen Mary’s. For Senior School admissions there is an Assessment Day. In line with Queen Mary’s culture, high expectations and nurturing ethos, we will take a holistic approach with exciting activities alongside written assessment. The size of our school allows us to take a truly bespoke approach to education tailored to each individual girl, so if you have any questions, queries or concerns around any part of the assessment, we would be happy to discuss this with you.
If you are wishing to join Queen Mary’s Senior School you may wish to be assessed for an Academic, Art, Music, Riding or Sport Scholarship.
The opportunity to apply for a bursary is available to all prospective families.
