Private School Fees: Day Pupils
Being a day pupil within our boarding community offers much more than a standalone day school with standard fees including:
– Full provision of education
– Essential educational materials
– Pastoral care including access to the Health Hub and a registered School Nurse
– Scholarship opportunities or learning support
– Lunch and break time snacks
– Many lunchtime clubs, after school clubs and extra-curricular activities
– Breakfast and evening meal if required for Prep and Senior pupils
– Supervised prep opportunities after school if required for Prep and Senior pupils
In addition, there is wrap-around care available between 08:00 – 18:00 for Pre-Prep and Prep pupils (charges apply). Day pupils in the Prep and Senior school also have the opportunity to stay overnight and flexi board (charges apply).
Private School Fees: Boarders
For boarders the standard fees include the following:
– All of the above provision and opportunities
– Term-time accommodation
– All meals
– Many extra-curricular activities (weekend activities are chargeable)
– Weekly and Full Boarders have access to a laundry service.
The income from fees is carefully reinvested into the school’s infrastructure and community to allow Queen Mary’s to continue to provide an exceptional education to boys and girls.

Flexi Boarding
Flexi boarding is also available and is truly flexible. Prior arrangements can be made for a number of nights per week, or weekend, or ad hoc dates can be booked with the boarding staff. Nights are charged at £46 per night.
Wrap-around Care
For Pre-Prep and Prep School pupils wrap-around care is available between 08:00 – 18:00 and is charged at £3.30 per half hour.
Fee Remissions
The school is pleased to offer a 10% sibling discount, 10% MOD and 10% clergy fee remission from the annual school fees listed above and offers a full bursary programme to widen access to a Queen Mary’s education.
Extras
There are many extra-curricular activities available within the normal private school fees and there are also a number of optional activities for which you may incur an additional charge; Music Lessons, Riding Lessons, Dance, Clay-Pigeon Shooting, Tennis, Speech & Drama. Other additional charges may occur due to external examinations and school visits.
Ways to Pay
Fees continue to be reviewed annually. There is a range of payment options available including cheque or bank transfer. Fees are due before the first day of each term however, it is possible to pay school fees monthly. The fees will be calculated for the year and spread over 12 payments. This arrangement will apply to the fee element only, any extras incurred should continue to be paid in arrears on or before the first day of each term.
