“They brim with enthusiasm and zest for life”
Proud of our latest inspection report
During the final week of the Spring Term in 2017 we welcomed a team of inspectors from the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) to Queen Mary’s. They undertook two separate inspections: ‘Focused Compliance Inspection’ and the ‘Educational Quality Inspection’. As well as making their own detailed observations, the inspectors drew on the results of online surveys sent out to both parents and pupils.
The purpose of a Focused Compliance Inspection is to ensure that schools meet all of the regulations set out for independent schools and the final report confirms that we do meet all of these standards.
An Educational Quality Inspection examines all aspects of a school’s educational provision. We are delighted with the excellent rating that we have been awarded for the personal development of our pupils, and for the powerful endorsement of the spirit of Queen Mary’s. One comment jumps out from the report: “Pupils are confident and know their own mind. They brim with enthusiasm and zest for life, promoted by the school’s vibrant and outgoing ethos”.
It is clear that the inspectors had the measure of Queen Mary’s and the spirit of hard work, intellectual curiosity and kindness comes through in their observations.
The achievement of all our pupils including their academic development has been rated as good and the inspectors have recognised and highlighted our key strengths in their report.
We are very proud of our school and will continue to use the helpful feedback from the inspectors to develop our School for the benefit of all our pupils.
