Pastoral Day of Kindness and Care
In the last week of term we thought that it was important for everyone to take a moment to pause to reflect on our mission of service, the amazing work that has carried on throughout lockdown and on the outcomes of the year.
Alongside individual tutor meetings girls were encouraged to choose a selection of the following activities and the response has been wonderful. Here are a few examples of the amazing work from our girls.
Lessons from Lockdown
How has lockdown been for you? Reflect on your life over the last 14 weeks. What have you learnt from the experience and what will you remember in years to come?
You may like to create a short story, diary, or perhaps a piece of art, music or drama appeals to you, or can you use your new found technology skills to create a blog, video or animation?
Write a Prayer
Could you write a prayer which you would be happy to share with us in school? You may feel inspired to write about your family or friends, the world around us, your school and teachers, or anything you like.
A Wing and A Prayer
Ripon Cathedral, in association with our Charity of the Year, Yorkshire Air Ambulance, is hoping to fill the nave with flying angels. With this campaign in mind, please could you create an angel for your home. You may wish to use the template on the link below or create your own.

If you would like to donate some money to Yorkshire Air Ambulance write a short prayer about the amazing work done by the heroes of COVID-19. Your prayer will be printed onto a paper angel that will fly in the nave of Ripon Cathedral.

An Act of Kindness
It would be wonderful to round off the school year by thinking of others. Perhaps you could plan a special act of kindness to brighten someone’s day. It could be a friend, family member or someone at school. Some ideas to get you started:
Make lunch for your family, tidy up your bedroom!, take the dog for a walk, write a letter to a grandparent or just give someone a call to tell them you care.
A Prayer by Zara
Dear Lord
Thank you for helping us in our good days and bad,
Your love has filled our school
Even though we are apart
You have given us strength and courage in unprecedented times
Please may you help those who are less fortunate than us.
Amen
