Pre-Prep Takes Forest School Further Afield
Within their topic investigating ‘living things’ in Science and signs of the season for the younger children, Pre-Prep took their Forest School learning into the wider environment.
On a walk up to Captain Cook’s Monument, the children spotted burrs, brambles, bracken and different types of trees. At the top, the group enjoyed the panoramic views of the North York Moors.
Pre-Prep continued their adventures with a trip to Studley Royal. The walk took in the seven bridges and an opportunity to feed the birds on the banks of the lake. They took seed, oats and even fruit, rather than bread, and this was especially enjoyed by the mallard ducks.
