Speech Day
Our guest speaker at this years Speech Day is Hebe Beardsall
Hebe attended Queen Mary’s from 2004 until 2009 and was Head Girl in her final year.
After Sixth Form at Ripon Grammar School she went on to Durham University to read English. It was after practising for her auditions in the S3 dorms, that she landed the role of Ariana Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2. Since that breakthrough moment she has regularly appeared on stage, television and film. Her films have included Funny Cow with Maxine Peake, How to talk to Girls at Parties and Still Life directed by Uberto Pasolini. Hebe was seen by a large television audience as one of the Queen’s German nieces in Victoria on ITV and Leonie in Happy Valley on BBC1.
Younger viewers will have enjoyed her performance as Pam in The Sparticle Mystery on CBBC. On stage, Hebe has played Laura in The Glass Menagerie and Ismène in Antigone.
We are delighted to welcome Hebe back to Queen Mary’s.
