Summer Term News
Pirates of the Curry Bean
With wonderful characterisations, sparkling songs and a witty script, our Year 6 girls entertained girls, parents and families on Thursday. Congratulations to everyone who took part.
Thank You from Karkeri School, Rajasthan
Queen Mary’s Charity of the Year for 2017-2018 has been in touch. Karkeri School has expanded over the last few years from 100 to 400 pupils. Some of the money raised by Queen Mary’s has now been used to build a block of 10 toilets and purchase some adjoining land for sport facilities. They are still considering how best to use the rest of the money. The QM community’s efforts have given life-changing opportunities to many Indian children.
The Royal Windsor Horse Show
Congratulations to Dee, Maisie and Amelia who jumped at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. After an exciting course walk with international show jumper, Guy Williams, the girls finished a very respectable 14th from the 38 teams taking part in the 90cm Team Show Jumping class.
Last weekend ten girls confirmed their faith in a service led by the Bishop of Whitby, Paul Ferguson, and our own Chaplain, Rev Graham Wright. Our boarders also welcomed the local community on Sunday 6 May for a Benefice Service before sharing breakfast with them after the service.
