Former Queen Mary’s Girl, Emilia, Receives Oxbridge Offer
Congratulations to Old Maryan, Emilia Jaques, who has received a Choral Scholarship and offer to study Music at The Queen’s College, University of Oxford.
Emilia attended Queen Mary’s from nursery to GCSE and loved her time at school:
“Getting this far would have not been possible without becoming the student I was when I left Queen Mary’s. That girl was made through the incredible dedication, encouragement and opportunities given to me over my time there, by the amazing teachers and the truly special school that QM is. I would really like to say how utterly grateful I am to everyone at Queen Mary’s who has helped me get to this point.”
In Emilia’s final year at Queen Mary’s she became the BBC Young Chorister of the Year and during her A Level year she has been busy being part of classical girl group Stellina who have performed on Songs of Praise and as part of the ‘Lean on Me’ celebrity tribute to the NHS.
We wish her all the best at the University of Oxford and look forward to seeing her continue to succeed.
