Queen Mary’s pupil Nya Harriman recently placed third at the Olympia London Horse Show 2021 in the 128cm Championships. With just one second separating the top three places in the Equine Services Mini Stakes, it proved a very exciting competition and a great achievement for the Year 7 pupil.
“I was really excited to qualify for the round, but to place third was amazing,” said Nya.“I’ve worked very hard with my pony April Star and it’s really rewarding to see our practice pay off.”
Riding continues to be an extremely popular activity,with over 80 pupils taking weekly lessons, and this year Queen Mary’s launches its new Riding Scholarships to support children across the area.
