Performance Pathways and Training

As a proud Pony Club Centre, Queen Mary’s also supports performance training, national school teams, and equestrian scholarships in the UK, making us a strong choice for ambitious riders.

We offer everything Pony Club, from Achievement Badges to Musical Ride competitions all based at the Queen Marys Equestrian Centre. We are both a Pony Club Centre and a Centre Plus Pony Club, meaning riders can either use a school pony or bring their own pony for rallies. Our Pony Club rallies occur every Saturday from 1.00 – 4.00 pm during the Spring and Summer terms, and from 1.00 – 2.30 pm and 2.30 – 4.00 pm during the Autumn and Winter terms. PCUK Pony Club sessions cost £25 and are bookable via the button below.

Opportunities for National School Riding Teams

We offer riders the opportunity to also have training development sessions offsite at local BS centres. Our lead coach specialised in British Showjumping and offers students the opportunity to be involved in the British Showjumping Yorkshire Academy and represent the Academy Team at Stoneleigh at the BS Championships.

We also offer riders within the riding school the opportunity to qualify for the BHS riding school competition which allows students without their own horse or pony to have the competition experience. We host numerous in house competitions throughout the year for all riders, and we also welcome external riders to these in house competitions.

Horse Riding Scholarships

Queen Mary’s offered experienced and dedicated horseback riders scholarships in riding. Our equestrian scholars enjoy a series of benefits for being a scholar in addition to competing as part of a prestigious school equestrian team.
