Equestrian Excellence

One of the standout features of Queen Mary’s is our exceptional equestrian programme. With around 24 ponies on-site, the mix includes both ponies owned by the girls and others that reside permanently at the school throughout the year. Our stables, located within the school parkland, are a popular gathering spot for girls, where they enjoy grooming and caring for the ponies. Riding lessons are scheduled regularly throughout the week, with pupils eagerly anticipating their time with the ponies.

Whether your daughter is an experienced rider or has never ridden before, the equestrian programme at Queen Mary’s offers a unique and enriching experience for all. Riding in our parkland adds to the charm and appeal of this special aspect of school life.

Duke of Edinburgh

At Queen Mary’s, girls are encouraged to challenge themselves at every opportunity, and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a popular choice for many. Beginning with the Bronze Level,  the award encompasses a variety of activities, including volunteering and an expedition. We provide comprehensive support with training sessions for the expedition section, as well as both practice and qualifying expeditions, all arranged within the school. This valuable experience helps students develop resilience, leadership skills, and a sense of achievement.
